Town defender John McGreal looks like he will be on the sidelines for some while after picking up a knee injury during Town's 1-1 draw at Brighton. The Liverpool-born defender was injured in a challenge early on during the first half.

Town manager Joe Royle will be taking on one of his best friends in football when the Blues meet Brighton and Hove Albion at the Withdean Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm). Royle has been impressed with the job that Steve Coppell has done at Brighton since he took over but will be seeking to put an end to their recovery.

Town manager Joe Royle hailed supersub Pablo Couñago after Town's 2-1 win against Coventry. The Spaniard was quickest to react as keeper Fabien Debec failed to hold Jim Magilton's 81st minute freekick and stabbed the ball home to give Town the points.

Cash-strapped Watford are reported to be interested in taking Town defender Wayne Brown back to Vicarage Road on a free transfer. Brown spent a successful three-month loan spell with the Hornets last season and they were keen to sign him but were put off by Town's price-tag.
